Important decisions need to be made when purchase a new tent whether your a new comer or a professional. The tent and it's equipment are very fragile and you need to consider who, when and which location they will be used in. You need to keep up to date with latest camping equipment as the design innovation and functionality is changing all the time and has been doing so for several years now.
When choosing a tent it must have the required specification that you need, it should have enough space for the number of people sleeping inside and the luggage they carry, it should be the appropriate size which is easy to pack, give enough space to store boots, camp equipment, kitchen utensils, pets, kids, toys and lights, the list is end list but be sure it has the right capacity.
Sleeping bags
When you have choosen your tent you then need to decide the sleeping arrangements inside and the types of bedding you will require. There are so many sleeping bags to choose from so make sure you choose the ones for there intended purposes. You don't want your camping trips spoilt by shivering of cold because you brought a sleeping bag that wasn't warm enough. Remember it may be nice and warn in the day time but the temperature can drop considerably during the night. Air is the best insulator and the best way to preserve the heat is cocooning yourself in trapped air around the sleeping bag. When choosing your sleeping bag you should consider the following to decide what to purchase; materials used, design, ratings of warmth, weight, pack size and price. Camping stoves
You can find a range of portable and light weight stoves, when purchasing stoves you need to think of the amount and type of cooking you will be doing, also ask yourself if you will be carry it with you in your rack sack and how much reserved space you might have. Stoves vary, from grills, two-burners and can come with complete wind protection and lids. You then need to ask yourself what type of fuel you will be using to operate your stove, this also varies depending on the type of camping you do, some fuels burn very hot, some burn well in cold, others are easy to light, also consider safety issues and prices. When you have choosing you sleeping bag you need to decide what you sleep on. When you sleep in your bag your weight compresses the fill of your sleeping bag reducing the insulation. Insulation is lost when using fibre filled bags. All bags will lose warmth so some form of insulation is needed underneath your bag. Here are some form of sleeping mats you can choose:
